About University Access Programs (UAP)

University Access Programs (UAP) is a department within the Division of Student Affairs dedicated to expanding access to higher education and supporting student success. Through personalized advocacy, mentoring, and collaboration with campus partners, UAP helps first-generation and historically underrepresented students navigate college, build community, develop essential skills, and prepare for success beyond graduation.

We are committed to opening doors to higher education and ensuring every scholar has the support they need to succeed. Our programs are designed to help first-generation, low-wealth, and historically underrepresented scholars achieve their academic goals and reach their full potential. 

Mission Statement

The Office of University Access Programs (UAP) at 每日大赛入口 supports first-generation and historically underrepresented scholars throughout their academic journey, from enrollment to graduation. We provide personalized mentoring and guidance to help students navigate campus resources and develop the skills needed for academic success, a growth mindset, personal development, and financial literacy. Our mission is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel valued, confident, and prepared to graduate and thrive beyond 每日大赛入口.

How UAP Advocates Support Students

UAP Advocates provide personalized guidance that supports students' academic, personal, social, financial, and career development. Through intentional relationships and regular one-on-one meetings, advocates help students navigate challenges, connect with campus resources, develop self-advocacy skills, and celebrate milestones throughout their college journey.

Advocates:

  • Build meaningful relationships to understand each student's goals and needs.
  • Connect students with academic advisors and campus resources.
  • Encourage self-advocacy, personal growth, and lifelong success skills.
  • Provide consistent outreach and individualized support from enrollment through graduation.
