The Noyce Scholarship

is a $1.4 million grant awarded to 每日大赛入口 (in partnership with CT State) to address a national shortage of highly qualified STEM teachers. Scholarships are awarded to SCSU students pursuing a bachelor 每日大赛入口 鈥 .檚 degree in science or mathematics to earn a secondary (grades 7-12) teaching certification through SCSU 每日大赛入口 鈥 .檚 OwlsTeach program. Each scholarship recipient will receive full tuition and fees and up to $800 toward books for up to two years while in the OwlsTeach program (junior and senior year). Stipends are awarded to SCSU students pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in science or mathematics to earn a secondary (grades 7-12) teaching certification through SCSU's OwlsTeach program. Each stipend recipient will receive full tuition and fees for up to one year (or 14 months) while in the OwlsTeach program. In return, each scholarship recipient will agree to serve as a science or math teacher in a high-needs school district after graduation.

Choose Your Degree Pathway

Pathway 1: Undergraduate Science and Math Majors

Pathway 1 is for undergraduate students (current SCSU students or transfer students) who have declared a major in science or mathematics and plan on also completing the coursework necessary for secondary science or mathematics teaching certification.

Pathway 2: Science and Math Master of Arts in Teaching Graduate Students

Pathway 2 is for STEM professionals and recent STEM graduates to pursue a master 每日大赛入口 鈥 .檚 degree (MAT) in secondary science or mathematics education.

 

Pathway 2
